WATER AND SEWER OPTIONS FOR OUR KIOSKS

Our kiosks are available in several configurations, depending on the availability of water and sewer lines at your site:

Hard-plumbed:  If water and gravity sewer lines are available and accessible

on your  site, you can order your kiosk with an employee

                                         restroom installed . . .

or if you do not have a gravity sewer connection, or if you just

prefer (and your local Health Department approves), you

can order your kiosk with a storeroom for supplies, including

additional refrigeration space, in place of the employee

                                         restroom.

Pump-and-haul:   If your site does not have accessible water and sewer

hookup, our kiosks can be equipped for a State-of-Virginia-

approved pump-and-haul water and sewer system.  With this

system, fresh water and gray water are stored in tanks inside

the kiosk.  A tank-equipped service vehicle is used to bring

fresh water from an approved remote water source and to

haul away the gray water to an approved sewer or septic

inlet.  Therefore, if you choose to have your kiosk equipped for

pump-and-haul, you will also need to purchase from us an

optional approved pump-and-haul system to be installed in

your utility vehicle.  This system has been approved by the

State of Virginia via a special "Program Implementation

                                         Manual."

We strongly advise that you bring water and sewer lines to your kiosk site if at all possible, rather than relying on the pump-and-haul system.  You will find it much easier to run your kiosk business if you do not have to pump and haul.  If your kiosk is busy - as you should be hoping it will be - you will need to bring in fresh water and pump the gray water tank every day at least once a day!  Though it will cost you a significant amount to tap into water and sewer and have these lines brought to your site, it will probably be cheaper in the long run because you will not need to purchase, maintain and fuel a service vehicle.

The water line to your site need be only 5/8" diameter.

If a gravity line (sloping to the sewer main) is not practical at your location or if your kiosk is not equipped with the restroom option, the gray water from the kiosk can be pumped to the sewer main by a small pump in the kiosk.
